  • Practical guidance on safer recruitment
  • Advice on child accident prevention, road safety & fire safety
  • Time to network with similar organisations
  • A chance to speak to the Local Authority Designated Officer and specialists from the LSCB, the Safe Network, Lambeth Children’s Services, Health, Police and Fire services
  • Information about free safeguarding training and resources
  • Updates on hot topics such as e-safety & sexual exploitation

Download the flyer and fill in the booking form if you are interesting in applying.  Thanks to Faiths Together in Lambeth for sharing this opportunity.  Are there other boroughs offering this kind of training?

  1. Hallo Catriona,

A couple of years back I was part of the London Councils project looking at safeguarding issues in different faith and cultural groups. I spoke about it at a LBFN meeting at the time. I hope that this training day is drawing on the resources created for London Safeguarding Boards, and given the proactive work underway in Lambeth it most probably is.

Would it be worth revisiting this subject at some stage?

Steve was part of a similar project, and perhaps someone from London Councils (Kay Bell?) could be invited to provide an update on the roll out of the guidance developed to address these issues.

    Best wishes
