Health & wellbeing in partnership with NHS & boroughs

london catalystMany of us will remember Victor Willmott from London Catalyst, who joined us at our meeting last March at DCLG.  The Partners for Health (Health & Belief 2015) fund is now open and Victor has kindly invited LBFN members to apply (deadline 29 May, awards up to £10,000).

The fund is especially for charities, faith groups, voluntary & community organisations which are based in London & with an annual income of less than £200,000.  They are looking for projects that:

  • tackle the effects of poverty and reduce health inequalities
  • take a new approach or a thoughtful development in response to need
  • work with an expert health agency/provider
  • provide support for people with mental and physical health needs, in particular, the areas of mental health and addiction

The fund has supported Islington Faiths Forum‘s work on poverty and mental health.  It is well suited to members of our Health & Wellbeing social lab, prototyping local health & mental health services which combine community expertise with the professional knowledge of the NHS and local authorities.

Download the application form and guidlines here, and contact Victor for further advice and to talk through your ideas.
